Cork Airport Information
Cork Airport is the Republic of Ireland second busiest airport and the third busiest in Ireland.
The Airport is owned and operated by the Dublin Airport Authority which is the state owned.
In the year 2007 the Dublin Airport Authority announced profits of €109 Million up from €69.5 Million the year previous. The airport handled over 3.2 million passengers in the year 2007 with nearly 90% of these being International flights. Cork Airport is located on the N27 and very close to the ring road that surrounds Cork City. Kinsale is a very popular destination near to the airport and is known as the Gourmet capital or Culinary Centre of Ireland. To visit Kinsale by car which is around 20Km in distance you need to head ease out of the Airport, through 3 roundabouts.
At the fourth take the third exit (right) onto the Kinsale Road keep on this road for around 14Km until R611 for a couple of miles and till you reach the R607, this in turn takes you to the R605 at Kinsale.

Cork Airport Arrivals
When arriving at the Airport to collect your cases/baggage you will find plenty of trolleys to assist you, as well as Toilets and Public telephones. Please be sure to check the flight boards as to which baggage carousel to collect your cases from. After this you will pass through Customs Control, there are three channels, Blue, Green and Red. The Blue channel is for flights that have originated from within the E.U. here you are not required to make any declaration to customs officials. The Green and Red channels are flights that originated from outside of the E.U. Green is if you are within your allowances or have no restricted goods and Red is for exceeding your allowances or are carrying prohibited or restricted good, please ask if you are not sure of your allowances. Cork Airport Departures
You are able to be dropped of in front of the terminal area, but please do not leave your car unattended as this will be liable to be towed away as this may cause a security risk. The short stay car park is ideal if you want to stay only a few minutes and is free. Trolleys are available to assist you with your luggage and the check in area is on Level 1. There is currently no train station at cork airport. The nearest is Kent Railway station in Cork.
The Station address: Irish Rail, Kent Station, Lower Glanmire Road, Cork. From her you can connect to various stations including Dublin (Heuston Station). The service is operated by Iarnrod Eireann Irelands national train company.
Cork Airport Coaches
Buses to and from Cork Airport are operated by Bus Eireann. These are very frequent and service the city center and beyond, the route numbers are 226 and 249 buses that go from the Cork Airport to the Bus station at Parnell Place where you can transfer to most destinations.

Cort Airport Taxis
The taxi rank at Cork Airport is located outside of the terminal building. The journey from Cork Airport to the center of Cork is 8Km (5 Miles) and the cost should be around 10€ - 12€ the time for the journey should be around 15 minutes allowing for traffic. Cort Airport Parking
Cork Airport can accommodate over 4500 cars for short term and long term parking.
Short term parking is in the Multi story car park next to the Terminal Building.
The prices for the first 15 minutes is Free, with the next four hours at a rate of 2.30€ per hours. Long term parking is operate by Cork Airport Authority and currently operates 2 long term parking facilities.
